Hosting a screening or premiere requires a venue that delivers impact at every stage of the experience. From guest arrival through to the final applause, every detail must feel considered, seamless, and visually exceptional.
At 60 Great Queen Street, the Grand Temple provides a spectacular setting for cinematic events of every scale. Combining striking Art Deco architecture with exceptional production capabilities and flexible event spaces, the venue is designed to support ambitious screenings, premieres, Q&As and after-parties with ease.
Guests arrive through the iconic Tower Doors into the Foyer, which work seamlessly for arrival registration and cloakroom. From here, guests ascend the sweeping marble staircase into the Vestibules, which would act as the central catering and networking hub before and after the screening.
The Grand Temple is exceptionally well suited to screenings. The space features comfortable fixed tiered seating, excellent sightlines, and a large built-in stage, making it ideal for film presentations, introductions, and Q&A sessions.
Large-format screens can be installed within the room, and the layout can be configured to suit your preferred setup. Choose from a traditional cinema-style arrangement or a more bespoke screening environment. For greater flexibility, the room can also be adapted further, with the installation of temporary flooring, allowing for alternative seating layouts or a completely reimagined screening experience if required.
The Grand Temple can host up to 900 people for a screening. Equally, the space works exceptionally well for events of 200 guests or fewer, making it one of our most scalable and versatile spaces.
A wide range of breakout and supporting spaces are available, including The Long Room, Grand Officers, South Gallery, The Gallery and Grand Officers Suite
The venue offers exceptional production potential, with trusted preferred suppliers, multiple rigging points throughout the ceiling, excellent WiFi, and no weight-bearing restrictions for lighting rigs or staging installations. The Grand Temple features a 60ft ceiling height, supports sound levels up to 110 decibels, and can be fully blacked out for dramatic lighting and immersive event design.
